How to Make a Bomboniere Wedding Favour

We suggest you use three layers of tulle to give your favour that fuller look.  For that extra special finish, try using two different shades of colour tulle.

  1. Firstly place your favour tulles on top of each other on a flat surface, next place your favour dish (if using one) into the centre of tulles and fill with your chosen confectionary, sugared almonds, dragees, chocolate foiled hearts ect…(normally five per favour)

  2. Gather tulle material up evenly from around base then tie up about a third of the way up from base with your chosen ribbon.  Finish ribbon off with tying a bow or simply just a knot and trim any excess ribbon.

  3. When you have finished tying ribbon you may need to pull apart each layer of tulle to give you bomboniere favour that fuller looking effect.  Your creation is now finished or if you are feeling a little adventurous you could add a few trimmings.  Such as add some ribbon roses, spray of babies breath or some paper roses to the centre of favour.

These bombonieres are obviously ideal as wedding favours but also can be used in blue or pink tulle to make christening favours and gold or silver tulle to make wedding anniversary favours.
